A number of clients have also requested a new feature to be added to Lyrek, which the developers have implemented for you.
When an invitee clicks the link in their email to RSVP for an event, Lyrek previously let them update the contact information for one address and select which one was. The address that was pre-selected for updates was their active address.
Now, the RSVP Confirmation page enables invitees to see all four (4) of their addresses on file, edit the direct information for these addresses, and select which one they?d like for their active addresses. This should assist in ensuring that your databases have the most up-to-date information available.
While this development was undergone, emails were sent to clients to attain feedback on the best way to implement this functionality. Thank you for your feedback and continued interest in ensuring that Lyrek is built the way you work.
The resolution was to only make Contact Information editable. Company and Local/Hotel information, which is bound to other contacts in your databases, are visible but uneditable to invitees. This way a contact who has recently changed companies cannot update the company record for all contacts bound to that company. The same is true for a contact that has recently changed their local/hotel.
We?ve added the ability for these invitees to contact you (using your Event Email Address) to inform you if they?ve changed companies or if an existing company has changed addresses or general information. This way, you can evaluate these changes before implementing them into your system to ensure that they?re accurate and factual.
If you?d like to see this new feature in action, click the ?Preview? button from your Send Invitation page from any event in your database. The pop-up window will show the confirmation page as an invitee will see it (except with fake information for all personal contact fields). Click a tab on this pop-up to see the fields available for editing for Company, Home, Local/Hotel and Other Information.
